Bridal Showers

I can not express how grateful I am for everyone who attended my bridal showers! and for those who couldn't make it, you were there in spirit and I appreciate that as well. What a great experience for everyone to get together and celebrate Eliott & my upcoming marriage. We are so thankful for all the lovely gifts and cards we received, we feel so blessed.

Special thank you to the fine women who put on the showers! Shout out to my moms, maid of honor Lourdes, bridesmaids Frances, Caroline, and Bekah and to Eliotts lovely aunts Mary & Joan! and also for those who helped behind the scenes that I don't know about :)

Only 33 days until the wedding, when I can finally say I am Mrs. Ashley Copier!!! I am so lucky to have this aaamaaazing man in my life, for all of his emotional support during this stressful wedding planning, and understanding that I am fragile at this busy time ;) He has been a HUGE help in the plans so far, contacting venues, designing and making our save the dates and invites, and being awake during gift registries (actually he was very interested and knowledgeable). He is the reason why I am still sane after 5 months of wedding planning.

Here are a few pictures of the showers.

Progress update!

The bridesmaid dresses arrived a few weeks ago & will be super cute on all 4 BMs. That's right, f o u r. My best buddy Bekah & her husband Gerald has returned to Michigan just in time to be in the wedding :)
Today I had my first bridal shower at work. It was fun-filled with laughter, catch-ups, Eliott, co-workers, and twin babies! We got some awesome gifts and we are so thankful! First one down two to go. We have my side of the familys shower on June 11 @3pm (invites are coming!!), and the in laws to be June 25 @10:30am. This saturday I have my first dress fitting with my mother then shopping for her dress afterwards, oy, wish us luck.
We have a lot of things planned, now, just to implement them...hmmm. We have SO many DIY projects to work on and not enough energy. Eliott is working very hard on the invites and they are looking great!!!
Also, for those of you who wish to know..we most likely will live at Oakwood Manor (cherry & college) in a cozy audio apartment. Just some paperwork to get finished. So we will still be in G-Rap for the time being, we like it here :) we are starting to collect some awesome furniture pieces, take a look...
And I'll throw in some pictures of recent stuff also just because.

Battle of the bridal sashes!

Sheesh, this is a more difficult decision than I thought it would be. So many sashes but only one will succeed in becoming Ashley's next top sash (very lame reference to americas next top model). Here are the contestants!

(keep in mind these are customizable thanks to some awesome ladies on etsy.com)
which do you like??

Testing from new app

Man, homework sure takes up a lot of quality time away from us, meh. Only two more weeks!

Update

Eliott & I have been very busy lately with school and such that we have not done very much in the wedding area. We have however been focusing on our relationship, we recently went to 2 to 1 with Winning at Home which was so wonderful! It was an all day marriage counseling type event, where we listened to speakers about the necessary nine topics to a happy marriage. We both got a packet with topics to discuss and tips for beginning our marriage on the right correct foot. I recommend this to every couple getting married, even if you are not religious, it is very informative and fun. We have developed this connection with one another that did not exist when we were merely boyfriend and girlfriend; being engaged has made us 10x stronger, which is very exciting :)

We have not totally forgotten about wedding stuff! The bridesmaid dresses have been ordered, which should be ready in less than a month. We bought them from Ananya on Etsy, I am so anxious for them to arrive! Also, we sent out our first batch of save the dates to friends and family. Funny story about this is when I finished addressing and stamping each one I abbreviated "Save the Date" by each name, which ended up being STD. Haha, STD, by everyones name, hilarious! Actually, I think they are actually called STI's now, sexually transmitted infections, but thats besides the point, I digress (my WRT 305 professor always says that phrase...).

Enjoy some inspirational photos!

Love these banners! I will DIY a few

Love the balloons, such a simple and inexpensive thing that looks so fun.

I also will be DIY-ing these string ball thingys (end result in top right corner).

and somewhat our new color scheme: Cobalt, Yellow & Grey.
